Public Speaking
Public speaking used to be a huge fear of mine. I lived telling myself the story that I was “too shy” and “too introverted” to push myself and speak up. Over the last few years I have had some truly awesome and welcoming spaces to do more public speaking and mcing, and now I find it to be something I love to do!
Kicking off this journey at the age of 16 I became TEDxRuakura’s youngest TEDx Speaker. From there I have gone onto speaking and mcing at events across the motu like Inspiring Stories biggest youth event in New Zealand, Festival For The Future in 2023 and Youth Parliment in 2022, as well as releasing my debut album ‘Growing Pains’, continuing to grow my business mindboxnz, starting university, performing my original music in China with my sister, launching a podcast, all while just graduating high school last year!
It has been an absolute CRAZY, inspiring and life changing last few years, achieving goals I never thought I could set for myself and going places I never thought I would see in my life.
Now it’s your turn to take the mic, collaborate and share your story. What is your next step?
I did a TEDxTalk!
At the age of 16 I became TEDxRuakura's youngest ever TEDx Speaker!
I spoke about volunteering and getting involved in your community. I shared my experiences volunteering as a teen, and how it has given me a sense of joy and pride that money can't buy.
